The 13th Annual St. Louis Marian Conference will open on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 3:00pm. God calls each one of us by name. He calls us to be Catholic, not by chance, not by accident. In Matthew 5:13 our Lord says: "You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? ...You are the light of the world ... Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father."
We have an identity as a Catholic. We use that identity to bring others to the knowledge of Gospel of Life. Being Catholic is a privilege. We come together at the St. Louis Marian Conference to give thanks for our privilege to be counted in that number. Come, listen, reclaim our Catholic identity. Our speakers are excellent, devout, and dedicated to the teachings of the Church.
The New Evangelization is a mandate to go out of our comfort zone and live our Catholic identity starting with our families. Each of us protect the universal Church and open the faith to all around us. Religion binds society. We are united by the one true religion, the universal Church founded by Jesus. Please invite your family, your friends, and the parishioners of your parish to this wonderful weekend.
We are especially blessed this year by having 160 relics of the saints! The list includes: the largest relic of the True Cross, Mary's veil, the Apostles, St. Joseph. St. Anthony, St. Anne, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Francis of Assissi, St. Monica, Holy Lance, Holy Thorn, and the Crib of Our Lord.
You may touch the true relics and experience the intercession of your favorite saint or patron saint. For additional information go to
www.treasuresofthechurch.com to read of the many miracles and healings received. You may bring a holy card or a medal of the saints and touch it to his or her relic which makes your card or medal a "third-class relic". Venerating these relics and engaging in this experience may come only once in your life!
There will be celebration of Mass each day, Confessions, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and an Adoration Chapel open throughout the weekend. The entire weekend is for one modest price. The St. Louis Marian Conference is for the family. Our Lady invites us to come and to pray in her honor. Coming to the Conference with your loved one or a good friend is the best way to jump start the New Year. Come and witness how the Holy Spirit draws each one to a closer relationship with our Lord and with each other.
